African Academy of Christian Leadership – Some progress – The Cafι Internet connection is very slow, however we were able to provide some help from here with a remote login facility. Thank you Lord. This project needs prayer.

ASSIST Europe – Peter Wooding led his second ASSIST Europe mission team to Konotop, Ukraine last month.  A team of 10 from the UK ran a summer camp at the Hearts of Love special needs children centre.  20 of the 40 children attending the camp committed their lives to Christ and each of them was given a Gideon Russian Bible.  The team also brought three wheelchairs; and had medical specialists who provided input, resources and care for the families of those with special needs children.

ASSIST News – Their website now includes video to report the news. In November they released close to six stories a day, seven day a week.

ChildD – This is a ministry that helps individuals with special learning needs, (Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficits, and High Functioning Autism). ChildD empowers them and their families with the “Hope and Truth” that is available to them by our Lord and His Word, as well as providing specific strategies and direction that will transform their lives.

Happy Campers – The plan for the 2009-2010 is firmly in place and two campouts have already occurred. Note, the term campout has changed from sleeping on the ground, some times in a tent, to full home like amenities such as TVs and microwave ovens.

Joy Junction – “Joy Junction is a full-service human reclamation plant that opens its doors to virtually anyone who desires help, ministering to the needs of the body, soul and spirit. We provide hope for the hopeless, and a hand-up to teach the skills necessary to allow our residents to return to employment and mainstream society.” See their video by clicking on the link above.

Lampstand – Lampstand is in the process of facilitating a shift in Sundanese church culture to include self supporting evangelists and church planters as well as those who are paid. The paid worker mentality is a hindrance to a church planting movement because there is no way to pay all the workers needed to start home churches. Please pray for change.

Latin America Indian Ministries  - Evangelism in the Indian villages is happening using their native languages, not Spanish. The LAIM tells this story as it happens.

The Minority Language Resource File (MLRF) – How do you find Gospel material in the language of minority people groups? Click the link.

San Gabriel Valley/ Pomona Valley Post-Polio Support Group – Some very good news. The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA has picked up interest in Post-Polio Syndrome. See their website at www.poliotoday.org .

USC Worldwide Friends – The primary outreach is to Southeast Asian and Chinese graduate students.  See the home page for recent activity pictures and video clips. This is a ministry that has a direct Christian impact on future leaders of developing countries.
